How we estimate
- Oven: 2.4 kW, 12 minutes of preheating at full power, then the element is on about 55% of the time.
- Air fryer: 1.5 kW, no preheating, element on about 80% of the time.
- Tariff presets follow Eskom and metro tariffs for 2026/27, VAT included. Your real bill depends on your meter and habits.
Hot air does the frying
A fan drives air past a heating element and around the basket at up to 200°C. The outside crisps, the inside stays juicy, and the oil stays in the bottle.
What you'll cook in it

Questions people ask first
For everyday portions, yes. It heats a much smaller space and needs little or no preheating, so a typical meal uses roughly a third of the electricity an oven would. Your saving depends on your tariff and how often you cook; the calculator above gives an estimate.
4 L suits one or two people. 6 L feeds a family of three or four. The dual-basket 9 L cooks two dishes at once, handy for five or more. Not sure? Send us what you usually cook and we'll suggest one.
Most air fryers draw about 1.2–2.4 kW while heating. A home inverter rated 3 kW or more can usually run one, but check your inverter and battery rating, and don't boil the kettle at the same time.
Most foods need a teaspoon or none at all. Frozen chips are already coated. Fresh-cut chips and vegetables crisp better with a light spray.
We ship by courier across South Africa with a tracking number. Main centres usually take [2–3] working days, outlying areas [3–5]. We tell you the delivery cost when we confirm your order.
Every air fryer comes with a [12-month] warranty. Under the Consumer Protection Act you can also return a defective product within six months of delivery. Message us and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund.
